 Not only Russian volunteers, but also volunteers from 66 countries help at the Games, the majority of which has arrived from the USA, Canada, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Germany, Great Britain and France. It is reported on the official site of the XXII Olympic Winter Games. Among rare languages of the Olympic Games in Sochi are Hindi, Punjabi, Afrikaans, Urdu and Catalan.
In all, 25,000 volunteers are involved in the Olympic Games. Statistically, only 7% of them are foreigners, while the rest have arrived at the Olympic Games from different regions of Russia.
Volunteers work in 17 various spheres, from meetings of foreign delegations at the airport and to the organization of the Olympic Games closing ceremony. Sportsmen, organizers and guests of the Olympic Games warmly respond about the work of volunteers who, according to them, charge Sochi with the Olympic drive.
