Russian speaking citizens of foreign countries will be granted Russian citizenship in three months |

 The Russian Prime Minister Dmirty Medvedev has said Russia is simplifying the procedure for granting citizenship to foreigners who will be recognized as Russian speakers.
According to him, people permanently residing in the territories that belonged to the prerevolutionary Russia or USSR or their relatives will be allowed to apply for Russian citizenship. The simplified procedure will be also related to highly qualified professionals who have finished Russian or Soviet universities or worked in Russia for at least 3 years.
A special committee will be established in order to recognize people as Russian speakers. It will interview people and those from them who will successfully pass it will get a Russian visa and an opportunity to receive a residence permit without a temporary residence permit.
Many experts now note that the February events did not leave anyone indifferent, especially international market specialists. |
