 Database of the European court of human rights (ECHR) was held in open access in the Russian language. In addition to the official languages of the office: English and French, the documents of court can be read in Russian language now.
According to the head of the Strasbourg court Dean Spielmann, the aims of court are improving the national implementation of the European Convention on human rights, and therefore the Russian-speaking audience was given the opportunity to become familiar with legal practice in their native language.
Database ECHR contains documents in 30 languages, including Russian language.
Since last year, the court began to distribute press releases on the considered complaints in different languages, including Russian language. So, in July it became known about the decision of the court for the former head of YUKOS Mikhail Khodorkovsky.
